An opaque window cramped the space, leading to a claustrophobic feel!!! Ventilation issues compromised comfort, and missing wallpaper patches detracted from the overall appearance. Addressing maintenance issues should be a priority!!!

The room had a strange humid smell, needing some fresh air from opening the window after being out all day. The cozy space had all necessary amenities, even though I struggled with the air conditioning controls initially. The location suited me perfectly, just a short 5-6 minute walk to Kyoto Station, which is great for traveling around the city. I found the surrounding area enjoyable, with convenient spots like Family Mart and Lawson nearby. I appreciated the free coffee machine in the lobby and the clean towels that were always left at my door, even after forgetting to put my used ones outside. Despite the slightly cramped quarters, I managed well as a solo traveler and even found a winter coat at a nearby store. Some of the signage around Kyoto Station could use improvement, as I got lost finding the hotel late at night, but this stay was overall quite pleasant, especially thanks to the welcoming staff who helped me despite my language barrier.
